PPMNS Calls on Governor Pawlenty to Certify the Election of Al Franken to the United States Senate

Today’s Minnesota Supreme Court Ruling Marks the End to the U.S. Senate Race in Minnesota.
(St. Paul) Planned Parenthood Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota (PPMNS) calls on Governor Pawlenty to immediately sign the election certificate so that U.S. Senator Al Franken can begin to serve our state.
“Today’s ruling restores full and fair representation to the citizens of the state of Minnesota,” said Sarah Stoesz, President and CEO of Planned Parenthood Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota.
“Health care reform, probably the most important legislation of our generation, is being debated in Congress and Minnesotans deserve to have two United States Senators representing their interests in Washington,” Stoesz said “We urge the governor to honor the Supreme Court’s ruling and certify the election without delay,” said Stoesz.
