Statement from Planned Parenthood President and CEO Sarah Stoesz on the Retirement of Jim Ramstad
"Over the course of his service, U.S. Representative Jim Ramstad has been a strong and supportive advocate for family planning and the health and safety of women and families in Minnesota," said Stoesz.
"As a moderate Republican, Congressman Ramstad has served as a steady voice of reason. With his retirement, Planned Parenthood recognizes that Minnesota and the nation is losing an unwavering champion of mainstream, common sense values like women's health care and honest, accurate sexuality education," Stoesz said.
"During his time in congress, Jim Ramstad was a tireless advocate on behalf of the powerless and disenfranchised and we will miss him terribly. The 3rd district deserves to be represented by a someone as thoughtful, committed and courageous as Representative Ramstad," said Stoesz.
