Last week I had the chance to talk to Leslie, a regional field director for SD's Campaign for Healthy Families. She explained that, even though the election seems like it is a long way away, these early months of campaigning are absolutely crucial. Volunteering is easy and even fun. I was pretty nervous before I went out the first time, I have to admit, but was met with an incredible amount of warmth and support from the citizens of Sioux Falls.
